Cammie O'Hara
Owner . Director . Instructor

As the owner and studio director of The Dance Pointe, Cammie O'Hara brings 25 years of dance experience to Dripping Springs' premier dance academy.  Originally from Dallas, Texas, Cammie began dancing at the age of three and hasn’t stopped since.  She has trained in a variety of disciplines including ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, drill team, contemporary, hip hop, Broadway, and Salsa.  She has performed at numerous events and venues including Disney Land in California, The Miss Texas Pageant, the Dallas Cowboys half-time show, and she danced the role of Cinderella in a Dallas-area ballet production.

Under the direction of a former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader,  Cammie served as  both a line member and head officer of her 5A high school drill team.  While in high school she competed and won awards in numerous group and solo competitions and taught dance classes to local youth.
She went on to study dance and perform with the resident modern dance company while attending Texas State University.  Upon completing her Bachelor's Degree at Texas State, she received her Master's Degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio where she continued working on her jazz and hip hop technique.

Cammie opened her first dance business in Louisville, Kentucky, in 2001, initiating a strong ballet-focused curriculum.  She left her beloved dance students in good hands when she moved with her family to Birmingham, Alabama in 2004.   While in Birmingham, she studied Salsa and classical ballet at the Alabama Dance Academy.  Since moving back to Texas in 2005, she has studied under many well-known and respected professional dancers/choreographers such as Danny Herman & Rocker Verastique (Broadway & Off-Broadway performers), Boo Ruiz (hip hop dancer/instructor/choreographer), and Artour Bajanov (Bolshoi Ballet & Moscow State Ballet dancer).

Cammie is a certified yoga instructor with 5 years of training and 3 years of teaching experience.  She has taught yoga to children and adults and is excited about offering classes at The Dance Pointe that fuse yoga and dance together for an exciting and fun mind-body-spirit experience.

Cammie is passionate about dance and about providing children with a quality dance education.  For that reason, she currently serves as the head of the dance program at Regents School of Austin, is a member of the Texas Dance Educators Association, and continues to learn the latest styles and techniques.

Anna Freemyer
Creative Director . Instructor

Anna Freemyer began her dance training at age four in San Antonio, TX.  As a student at Incarnate Word College Ballet School she had the opportunity to perform The Nutcracker each season and was chosen to play many of the classic roles including Chinese variation, Snowflake, Waltz of the Flowers, and Clara.  Anna was also selected out of many aspiring young ballerinas to perform the Chandling Child in  A Midsummer’s Night Dream with San Francisco Ballet (on tour in S.A.) and Joffrey Ballet’s Summer Workshop.  Hoping to further her training, she became a student at Mayra Worthen’s Ballet School and subsequently a company member with the school’s resident company, Texas Ballet Concerto (now known as Ballet San Antonio).  As a company member she had the honor of performing in such classical works as Les Sylphides and The Nutcracker in addition to numerous contemporary works unique to the company.

Anna continued her training as presidentially endowed scholarship student in the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Texas at Austin.  As a dance major she performed with the resident modern dance company, Dance Repertory Theatre, and had the unique experience of being adjudicated at the American College Dance Festival .

Anna, began teaching at local dance studios during her time at UT and what started as a job to earn some spending money quickly became a passion.  As  a teacher with Round Rock Repertory Dance Center and 620 Dance Centre, she was able to truly come into her own as a classical ballet teacher known for making classical ballet fun.  Upon graduating with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance in 1999, Anna decided to teach full time in the private sector.  She became the main ballet instructor for 620 Dance Centre where she created her own ballet company geared toward giving young ballerinas more performance opportunities.  She broadened her horizons and took on lyrical, jazz, and combination classes and was appointed as director of the resident competition team.

Anna loves to share the joy of dance with anyone who wants to learn.  She aspires to one day stage her own full length production of the magical holiday classic, The Nutcracker, with the twist of using multiple forms of dance rather than just classical ballet. Anna is qualified to teach all levels of ballet, lyrical, jazz and contemporary modern.

Jamie Gregoire

Jamie Gregoire started dancing at the age of three in Austin, Texas.  Dance quickly became a main focal point of her life and at the age of seven she began studying classical ballet at Ballet Austin Academy. Once there, she was able to focus on and dedicate all of her spare time to dancing. She learned many forms of dance, but ballet and pointe became her passion. During her time at Ballet Austin, Jamie performed annually in the company’s production of The Nutcracker both in Austin and on tour.  She danced a number of roles including the lead role of Clara and also performed with the Ballet Austin Company in other classics such as Romeo and Juliet.  Jamie was given the honor of being chosen to dance with The Royal Ballet of London when they were on tour in Austin.

In high school, Jamie decided to broaden her dance experience, and joined the Hyline Drill Team at Westlake High School.  There she trained in a variety of disciplines such as jazz, ballet, drill team, and lyrical dance.  She was also selected to be a member of the elite dance group Jazz Co.  While on the squad, she competed and won awards for duet and group dances in jazz and lyrical at various state competitions.  In her spare time, Jamie also had the pleasure of teaching dance to elementary age children during school and summer workshops.
